這次討論將聚焦於中古兒童的學習經驗上,其中特別關注學齡的問題。圍繞年齡討論,也較切合將中古兒童的學習經歷量化的意圖。首先,我們需檢視兒童接觸五經的過程,接著再探討《論語》《孝經》與其他讀物乃至寫作、書法等在兒童教育的地位。借著梳理歷代兒童學習的年齡與對象,我們能夠較好地掌握漢唐之際的社會文化風尚。

This discussion is going to concentrate on the learning experience of the children in Medieval China, while the issue of learning age will be the major focusing point. This will match with the attempt to quantify the children’s learning experience. First of all, we shall review the process of how children interact with the Five Classics. In addition, the status of The AnalectsThe Classic of Filial Piety and other reading materials, added with writing and calligraphy, in child education will be considered. Through assessing the age and objects of children’s learning, we shall have a better understanding in the socio-cultural atmosphere during the Han-Tang period.
