戴忠沛博士,教育學院及文學院聯席助理教授,兼任文學士及教育學士(語文教育)-中文教育課程統籌。戴博士於香港大學先後取得教育(語文教育)學士(主修中國語言及文學)、文學士及哲學碩士(主修語言學)學位,並於中國社會科學院研究生院民族系完成博士研究,曾擔任荷蘭萊頓大學博士後研究員、香港科技大學高級教學助理、香港大學博士後研究員及講師。戴博士的研究涵蓋中國內地少數民族語言文獻及香港中國語文教育兩個範圍。在少數民族語言文獻方面,戴博士近年專注解讀約 30 份附有藏文注音的西夏文殘片,期望相關藏文注音資料能夠為 12 世紀西夏語提供更好的語音構擬方案。在教育方面,戴博士現正進行香港研究資助局計劃「跨境的教育領導權:在中國內地國民政府立案的英治香港中學(1928-1949)」,探討民國時期中國內地政府為何延伸其教育管轄範圍至香港學校,港英政府如何看待來自中國內地的教育影響,而香港的學校又怎樣同時回應港英和內地兩個政府的要求。
Dr Tai Chung-pui is assistant professor jointed appointed by the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Arts. He also serves as the course coordinator of the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education in Language Education – Chinese programme in the Faculty of Education. After his two bachelor degrees and a master degree at HKU (BEd in Language Education major in Chinese Language and Literature, BA and MPhil in Linguistics), he received his PhD at the Department of Ethnology, Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Science. Prior to his current position, Dr Tai served as a postdoctoral researcher at Leiden University, Netherlands, teaching associate at HKUST, postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at HKU. Dr Tai’s research covers two areas: linguistic and manuscript studies of ethnic minorities in mainland China, and Chinese language education in Hong Kong. In the study of ethnic minorities in mainland China, recently he has been focusing on the interpretation of around 30 pieces of Tangut fragments with Tibetan phonetic glosses, hopingto build a better phonological reconstruction scheme for the 12th Century Tangut language. As for his education research, his new academic project funded by the Research Grant Council “Cross-boundary hegemony over schooling: Republican China-registered secondary schools in British Hong Kong 1928-1949” examines why the Republic Government extended its education jurisdiction in colonial Hong Kong, the Colonial Government’s reaction and how the local schools responded to the control from both sides.
