Assistant Lecturers in (A) Cantonese (Ref.: 201300699) and (B) Putonghua (Ref.: 201300702) in the Chinese Language Centre (CLC) in the School of Chinese (for 1 year from September 1, 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter)
The CLC has a solid reputation of excellence in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) and the courses on offer are noted for their usefulness and practicalness. Applicants should possess a university degree or equivalent and a postgraduate degree in Chinese or related areas. The ability to design and deliver new courses as well as to develop instructional materials for the Certificate in Chinese Language Course for foreign learners is required. A near-native command of Cantonese/Putonghua and a high level of proficiency in English are preferred. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
